CFSA Staff are able to complete Opioid Overdose Prevention and Naloxone Training in partnership with the DC Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) and the DC CFSA Office of Well-Being. This is a free training that is open to all DC community members, residents, and members of the general public.

The Overdose Prevention and Naloxone Training Program, implemented by the Department of Human Services provides willing and able staff the information and tools needed to save someone experiencing an opioid overdose using Naloxone (also know as Narcan) while waiting for emergency responders to arrive.

BACKGROUND

OHI and In-Home staff have expressed an interest in also obtaining this training, and the opportunity is now available to all direct services staff.
