Important Announcement for Resource Parents:
New CPR/First Aid Training Process
Dear Resource Parents,
For the month of October, any resource parent needing Adult, Infant, and Child CPR/First Aid certification will need to locate and attend an American Heart Association certification course on their own and cover the cost of the class upfront. This process is for October as we are working to resume our normal method of class registration starting in November. Click on the recommended links to the Infant, Child, and Adult CPR/FIRST AID resources in the DMV area:

American Red Cross Infant, Child, and Adult CPR/First Aid
DC Fire and Emergency Management System: Healthcare Provider (CPR Certification)
Washington DC CPR AED & First Aid Classes- Provider 2
Reimbursement Details:
The agency will provide reimbursement for the training cost in the form of a check. To receive reimbursement, please follow these steps:
1. Complete your CPR/First Aid training with a certified provider.
2. Click on the button below to begin the reimbursement process.

The CFSA Child Welfare Training Academy (CWTA) is approved by the DC Board of Social Work as a continuing education provider for licensed social workers in the District of Columbia. This course catalog is inclusive of all in-service courses offered by CWTA.
The external training submission form must be completed by Resource Parent Support Workers to document any external training completed by the resource parent.
